CSCI 202 Research Methods is an undergraduate course for second year students in Computer Science. It was created to prepare students both for undertaking research projects of their own and for working under formal mentorship. At the end of the semester, students will have learned to write undergraduate research proposals, to read scientific literature critically, to carry out their projects, and to communicate their results in writing and orally. Our expectation is that students who successfully complete this course will be well equipped for independent studies, summer research, and research that leads to the completion of senior or honors theses.
